Thank you for the people you have brought into my life who continue to teach me new things and think differently. People like Kim from So Many Places who not only show me that this Life is what we make of it, but that we need to take time and think about what we are grateful for.
Thank you for people like Anne who created the “Look For The Good Project” which came to me this weekend when needed the most. After a week from hell, what was supposed to be a relaxing night camping was anything but with obnoxious, loud neighbors keeping us up until 230am. A run on the beach brought to the “Look for the Good” art trail, reminding that there is SO MUCH good in the world and so much to be grateful for.
Thank you for my fitness clients who teach ME everyday what I try to teach them; we are stronger than we think and capable of more than we could ever conceive. They continue to push me past uncomfortable as I train, and for that I am thankful.
Thank you for the solitude and peacefulness that the woods bring, and for those who fight to preserve its beauty. Thank you for the clarity you give me on my long runs through tranquil forests, and the humbleness that the mountains bring to me on my overnight hikes. Thank you for the kind, trusting hikers I walk with on these trails, reminding me that there is still good in this world.
Thank you for music. The ability for it to change my mood within a beat, and take me to a memory of a time in my life like nothing else.
Thank you for my good health, and for the little health scare I am going through right now. It has humbled me to take a good look at how I am living, and what I would change. Point taken. Now give me some positive results 🙂
Thank you for the giving me maturity, which came from some failures and mistakes. For making me realize 5 great friends far outweigh 30 okay friends. Thank you for a group of girlfriends who I know would do anything for me if asked. That is a priceless gift in life.
Thank you for my family who I know I can count on for anything. A shoulder to cry on, an ear to vent to, advice, etc. For my nieces who teach me to enjoy life and laugh more, play more, and think less. Who give me a small glimpse of what having kids is like, a love much bigger than yourself or words.
Thank you my little boy, a 5 lb Morkie that melts my heart. This dog reminds me to live in the moment and to be present each day. To keep things simple and to enjoy the little things. Walks in the woods, the breeze in your face, a small toy, and just being in the presence of your loved ones.
And most importantly, THANK YOU for my husband who has stuck with me for 10 years of marriage when it wasn’t always easy. I continue to learn from this man every day, and he continues to make me want to be a better person. Thank you for giving me the most caring, thoughtful, morally sound person I have ever met. I still don’t know what I did to get him. Together we have created a pretty amazing life, and I know the best is yet to come. Thank you for giving me the perfect partner, a teammate like no other.
